Problems with periods

A normal period is around 5 days and a normal menstrual cycle lasts between 21 and 35 days.

Causes for abnormalities in the menstrual cycle include:

• Uterine polyp
• Adenomyosis
• Fibroids
• Malignancy and hyperplasia
• Coagulopathy
• Ovulatory dysfunction
• Endometrial and iatrogenic causes
