Menopause
Menopausal Management
Menopause occurs when a woman’s ovaries stop producing hormones. It is a clinical diagnosis defined by having no menstrual period for 12 months.
The most common symptoms of menopause include hot flushes and vaginal dryness. Up to 75% of women experience hot flushes. Vaginal dryness can have a negative effect on your sex life. Other symptoms of menopause include irregular menses, mood changes, and decreased libido.
Treatments do exist for these symptoms and there are both hormonal and nonhormonal options. Dr. Gee is happy to discuss available treatment options with you in a scheduled consultation.
